A down time day.  Spent the entire day relaxing.  Life is good!

Day 376

Chicago Tour Click on the Chicago Tour link to view the pictures we took on our tour today.  It was beautiful!  We ended the tour at the Hancock Tower, where we took a high speed elevator up 94 floors in 40 seconds.  The views were spectacular!

Day 375

We had a wonderful worship at the Moline Church of Christ this morning.  We drove around a little and the only thing we really saw of significance was the John Deere Pavilion.

A day to recover from our day in Chicago. We ventured out to find a church for tomorrow and found a place to eat. Can you believe Carlos O'Kelly's Mexican?

Tall Ships Chicago We had a wonderful time at the Navy Pier in Chicago, ending the evening at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria.

Day 372

Iowa to Illinois Link
 We finally made it to Illinois.  Unfortunately our RV park is nearly three hours away from Chicago.  We'll still go.  It's just that those will be long days with the travel time.

Day 371

The Road to Iowa We traveled from Mitchell, South Dakota to Grimes, Iowa today.  Tomorrow we move on to Illinois.

Day 370

We traveled from Hermosa to Mitchell, South Dakota today.  Staying the night in a K-Mart parking lot.  Had a wonderful b-b-q brisket dinner across the street.

Day 369

Had to have our water pump replaced today.  I also waxed a good portion of the rig.  Had lunch with our friends, Deacon and Daisy, today.  We said good-bye, with a hope that we run into each other sometime in the future.  What a wonderful couple!

Following a good worship, we worked around the motor home.  Then we took a drive to Hot Springs.

Needles Scenic RouteWe had a wonderful day of sightseeing as we went back into Custer State Park and took the Needles Highway scenic route.  Then we had lunch in Custer and walked around a bit.  After a visit with our friends, Deacon and Daisy, we went to Hill City for a great dinner at the Alpine Inn.

A day to take care of business -- a little shopping, a little cleaning, followed by relaxation.

Day 365

Crazy Horse and Custer State ParkWe had a wonderful day at Custer State Park and Crazy Horse Memorial.  So many things to see!  We saw deer, prairie dogs, antelope, wild turkeys, donkeys, and the largest herd of buffalo we have ever seen.  Enjoy the slideshow!

Mt Rushmore and Keystone We had a wonderful day going to and viewing Mt. Rushmore.  And then we went to Keystone for an enjoyable evening.

Road to HermosaFrom Sheridan, Wyoming to Hermosa, South Dakota.  It was a good trip.  And now we are here for a week.

Day 361

Our last day in White Sulphur Springs.  We made the most of it.  Good worship at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, followed by lunch at the Corner Stone Deli, then a trip to Memorial Falls.  When we got back to White Sulphur Springs we had a good dinner at Demsey's and then we went back to the RV park and enlarged our options for camping.  We joined Passport America and upgraded our RPI to Preferred.  Life is good! Just another relaxing day in Montana!

Day 359

Another wonderfully relaxing day in Montana.  We are saying good-bye to our neighbors and new friends, Deacon and Daisy tomorrow.  They are some very fine folk!

We made it back to White Sulphur Springs today.  But, not before we went to a lot more places in Yellowstone!  We finally saw some wild life today.  God really went all out with this place.  Enjoy the slideshow!
Yellowstone Day Two

Day 357

Wow!  What a day we have had!  After nearly colliding with a deer just a few miles from our campground, we safely made it to Yellowstone National Park.  The sights we have seen are just beyond description.  We taxed ourselves with a little hike to get to an observation point on the mountain for a different perspective on Old Faithful.  Even though it wore us out and I suffered with pain in my leg, it was worth it.  The view was amazing!  The earliest we could get a dinner reservation at the Old Faithful Inn was 9 p.m. and the dinner was disappointing.  However, our room was quiet and restful.  Enjoy the slideshow.  There are 227 pictures.

Day 356

No pictures today.  We spent most of the day just relaxing and visiting with our neighbors.

Day 355

We had a wonderfully relaxing day with our neighbors.  Una and two other ladies from the park took a little trip out to the Hutterite colony.  They had a great time and took a lot of pictures.  However, we are not allowed to publish these.  Nevertheless, you will see a few pictures of some antelope they witnessed along the way!  This afternoon all three of us couples went to Demsey's Tavern for dinner and had a nice visit.

Following a wonderful worship, with potluck lunch and good fellowship, we spent the day at the rig.  A bit of a stormy day.

A wonderfully relaxing day at our fantastic campground.  We met some great people today -- fellow full-timers.

Just another relaxing day in Montana.  Had a little storm pass through.

After a wonderful worship at Glacier Church of Christ in Columbia Falls we went on to Whitefish and enjoyed the afternoon walking through the shops and gazing upon the lake.
