Day 167

Had a good worship and fellowship with the Little York church with me preaching two more lessons in my series on the Sermon on the Mount.  Una and I enjoyed the remainder of the day relaxing, watching a couple of episodes from the first year of Little House on the Prairie, and reading.  I finished my second novel of the year, a "chickish" story by Sidney Sheldon -- Nothing Lasts Forever."

Day 166

Just a relaxing day around the RV.

Day 165

Guys night out at the Rockets game.  We had a blast!

The girls went shopping and then to the Chocolate Bar!

Day 164

We watched the kids while Dwayne and Brook went out for a movie and dinner.  The kids had a good time making smores at the fire pit, followed by sharing ghost stories.

Day 163

A pleasant day at the dentist and then at the church, volunteering to host for the pictorial directory and praise practice.

Day 162

Another relaxing day.  We had our pictures taken at church for the pictorial directory.  Then we just enjoyed the evening together.

Day 161

A relaxing day around the RV, while Una took care of business and had lunch with Brook.  We had a wonderful dinner and Don Julio's, followed by 24.

Day 160

Had a good worship at Little York today.  I quoted the Sermon on the Mount and somehow made it through with minimal errors.  It was nice that our family came to encourage me.

Day 159

A good day.  Haircut, carwash, and dinner with Brook and the kids.  Looking forward to tomorrow.

Day 158

A relaxing day around the park, followed by a good evening at the kids.  Dwayne and I watched the second Transformer movie while Brook and Una played bunco.

Day 157

Just a relaxing day around the RV park.

Day 156

Tooth cleaning time -- don't like to go to the dentist, but my mouth sure feels better after having them worked on.  Had a good time with the grandkids today at McDonalds.  Enjoyed song practice tonight, followed with a movie with my lovely wife.

Day 155

Performed a minor repair on the rig today.  We enjoyed the Tuesday evening social at our RV park.  Other than that we had a pretty laid back day.

Day 154

Uh oh, forgot to give the update.  Probably because there just wasn't much to report.  We had a good day.  After looking at motor homes at PPL we went to Pappas Seafood for a wonderful lunch, followed that up with a trip to the Chocolate Bar.  Yum!  The rest of the day was spent at our RV relaxing.

Day 153

We had a wonderful Sunday filled with worship, fellowship, family, and football.  Oh, and dare I say, 24!  It was such a full day I forgot to make my daily entry.  We will see what Monday brings.

Day 152

I finished my first book of the year (Red Rabbit by Tom Clancy) while watching the Saints demolish the Cardinals.  Una had a good time shopping.  A very expensive motor home pulled into our RV park.  I would estimate it to be close to million dollar coach.  Sigh, envy is such a difficult temptation.  However, I can honestly say that I am contented to be in any situation, so long as Una and I are together and in good health.  May God be praised!

Day 151

We stayed pretty close to home all day.  Just a drizzly rainy day.

Day 150

A good time with family today.  Una cooked a new soup recipe for dinner and it was delicious.  We both went to Wednesday evening classes and had a great time.  Enjoyed witnessing a baptism following class.  It has been a full day!

A wonderful day of worship and fellowship, followed by some great football.  Does it get any better than this?

Day 147

Today was our Rylee's 8th birthday!  We had a great time celebrating it with her.  I have also had a good time puting together a completely new sermon today.  It is on the first four verses of Luke.  I am excited about this!

Day 146

Nothing spectacular, just a good day with each other.

We tried to stay warm today and took care of business.

Spent the better part of the day looking at motor homes.  Narrowed our search and have started the process to possibly buy one.

Day 143

Just another day in the neighborhood.  Bought the first season of Heroes with my Frys gift cards and we had a great snow crab dinner at Ichibons.

Day 142

Our last day with Shannon and the kids before they head back to California.  We gave them a tour of the RV park and then took them to lunch at Don Julios.  Spent the evening at Dwayne and Brooks.  Also received a welcome gift from a couple of the ladies at Clearlake Church of Christ.  Brrrr...it's gonna be cold tonight.

Day 141

We had a wonderful time of worship and fellowship at the Little York Church of Christ and then spent the evening with family.

Day 140

Day 139

A low-key start to the new year.  Una worked a lot today.  First doing laundry, then cooking a wonderful salmon florentine dinner for everyone.  The only thing of substance I did today was to back up our computers.  Tomorrow we all head off to Schlitterbahn.
