Deadwood Slideshow
We took a drive to Deadwood today after taking care of some business in Rapid City.  What a quaint little town this is!  Las Vegas has nothing on Deadwood when it comes to gambling.  There are casinos all over the place.  Many are cleverly disguised as historic buildings.  Well, maybe not so much disguised as using historic buildings, which makes it even better.  The slideshow is only fifty pictures, and a lot of fun.  Enjoy!

Devils Tower to Lead Slideshow
We took to the road today, visiting Devils Tower, Sundance, Spearfish Canyon, Roughlock Falls, and Lead.  It was really a great day!  There are 157 pictures in the slideshow, and most of them are just fantastic.  Enjoy!

Hill City, Deerfield, and Sturgis Slideshow
We took another day trip today, visiting Hill City, Deerfield, and Sturgis.  Lots of fun and good sights.  We found ourselves praying we would get to a gas station at one point.  Miss Garmin came in handy, and we made it back to Hill City and a Conoco station.  This slideshow is considerably smaller than the last one.  It's only 62 pictures.  Enjoy!

Badlands Slideshow
We took a day trip on Friday to the Badlands.  We had low expectations, however, we were pleasantly surprised!  What a beautiful national park!  The slideshow is 181 pictures, but it is definitely worth your time.  Enjoy!

White Sulphur Springs Slideshow
This is the last sunset we are going to see while in Montana this year.  Over the past few days we have ridden our bikes into town for various reasons; ie, haircut, post office, and sight-seeing.  The castle was built in 1892 and is now a museum.  Other than that, the main attraction for White Sulphur Springs is the hot springs, which is now a hotel.  The slideshow only has nineteen pictures in it, and it is just some of the local sights and our last sunset, pre-storm and post-storm.  Enjoy!

Entry 725

I know I haven't made a post in awhile, but I have been busy relaxing...lol.  Life here in Montana slows down.  There isn't a lot of excitement, but there is a lot of serenity.  We had a good worship on Sunday, followed by lunch with a group from the congregation, who happened to be fellow campers.  Our excitement came when our neighbor's little 13 year-old autistic grandchild was missing after dark.  Thankfully, I found her in another camper's trailer and led her back to her grand-parents.  Needless to say, she was in big time trouble.  I have been spending quite a bit of time turning wood.  I have made a number of pens and pencils, as well as, a small ironwood bowl.  The following pictures are from tonight's sunset.  Just another beautiful Montana sunset!
